"Alyssa Bai helped create and edit multiple trailers, and help create different posts for social media... displayed professional traits during her internship period and managed to complete all assigned tasks as requested. She was hardworking, dedicated, and committed. It was a pleasure having her with us in this short period."

"I am writing to highly recommend Alyssa Bai for any opportunities or endeavors she may pursue. I have had the privilege of working closely with Alyssa in her capacity as a dedicated and talented individual.
I first encountered Alyssa's exceptional abilities when she collaborated with our organization, the Conejo Chinese Cultural Association (CCCA), on a significant project during a challenging time for our community. In 2018, our community endured the devastating effects of two consecutive tragedies: the Borderline Mass Shooting and the Woolsey Fire. These events deeply impacted the lives of many, yet in the face of adversity, our community demonstrated remarkable resilience, unity, and strength.
As the General Manager of the CCCA Chinese New Year Show that year, I entrusted Alyssa with the task of producing a video that would not only showcase the resilience and strength of our community but also inspire hope and unity. Despite being a freshman in college at the time, Alyssa approached the project with a level of maturity and proficiency that exceeded my expectations.
Throughout the process, Alyssa displayed an impressive ability to conceptualize and execute a compelling narrative. She conducted thorough research, collected extensive multimedia materials, and worked tirelessly, even during holidays, to meet project deadlines. The result was a poignant and powerful video that resonated deeply with our audience during the Chinese New Year Celebration at the Fred Kavli Theatre.
Alyssa's outstanding qualities, including her creativity, responsibility, accountability, and passion, were evident in every aspect of her work. She not only met the project's objectives but surpassed them, leaving a lasting impact on our community.
Based on my experience working with Alyssa, I have no doubt that she will excel in any endeavor she chooses to pursue. Her dedication, talent, and positive attitude make her an invaluable asset to any team or organization."

"I have known Alyssa since the beginning of her time at DePaul University, September 2018, as a
student in the Chicago Quarter Course, “Many Cities, Many Stories.”

Throughout the duration of the quarter, Alyssa continued to exhibit strong interest in the course
and continued to participate with enthusiasm and genuine interest... She proved to have strong time
management skills, as well as a keen attention detail with each reading assigned. Even for class
sessions that required less active participation, Alyssa continued to remain engaged and focused.

I was especially impressed to learn about how Alyssa’s interest in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in
Film and Television has developed over the years, and how she has cultivated this interest since
beginning high school. Her specific desire to communicate the honest truth behind people’s lives
speaks to her genuine passion for pursuing documentaries."

"Alyssa displayed care in her writing as well as her studies. The first assignment she completed
for my class also displayed her strengths in film. I began the quarter with my students writing in
the narrative genre. Students could choose to write a “literacy autobiography” or a “memoir.”
Alyssa chose the memoir. She wrote about her grandmother from China, their relationship, and
the impact her grandmother’s love and wisdom had on her. Her memoir began at the airport
where her family in the States met her grandmother. At the time of this opening scene, Alyssa
was a young elementary-school-age child. The imagery she used was vivid and tangible, and she
utilized the conflict-action-resolution structure throughout.

The essay was set up in stages where students first submitted a working draft to me for
comments and suggestions and then later submitted a final version for a grade... Alyssa stayed in contact with me before she submitted her working draft and during her revision process to ask questions how to improve and
strengthen her piece.

Alyssa is a mature, determined, and conscientious goal-oriented writer and student."
